If Edgard Donzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Arne Valler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Rius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. FC Philotimo's Vitomir Vutov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Darroja in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, FC Philotimo's goal looked a bit too open when Misael Darroja came free, but Vitomir Vutov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Philotimo getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Stig-Arne Valler hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Apolo Rius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tin Delgado in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Latocayteva F.C.'s Misael Darroja slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitomir Vutov. That made the score 1-2 after 58 minutes of play. If Misael Darroja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Philotimo made a substitution. Alejandro Chorache replaced Edgard Donzel. FC Philotimo's Patricio Igartua was substituted for Xeromo Garibay. Apolo Rius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umea Caubilla in the 65th minute of play. When Umea Caubilla came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the FC Philotimo fans jumped to their feet.
