In the 22nd minute Lobo Guará were awarded a corner. Nando Barbosa went to the cornerflag to take it. Ezequiel Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tevfik Sabri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Lobo Guará were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Astros de México's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nando Barbosa took the corner. After taking down the ball on Lobo Guará's corner Ezequiel Pereira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tevfik Sabri quite easily take care of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro de Moraes couldn't finish the play. Ciro de Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tevfik Sabri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Daniel Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Eyague in the 79th minute of play. After 83 minutes, Ciro de Moraes made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. After a defensive mix-up in Astros de México's zone, Ciro de Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tevfik Sabri came out of the goal and Ciro de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Lobo Guará walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
