Peder Alström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Ekrot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Mutumba to maneuver through the defense. INIXET BK's Kent Näver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save INIXET BK from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute, Vykans Vikingar's Mats Hermansson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. If Karl-Magnus Bergman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Indalecio to make the kick off. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Tage Glanselius replaced Hugo Eden. 66 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Hermansson came free, but Kent Näver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Peder Alström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INIXET BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sören Gregersson in the 71st minute of the match. Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund was substituted for Martin Mutumba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 82nd minute of play forced INIXET BK's goalkeeper Kent Näver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Leonardo Trancoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kent Näver. INIXET BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Trancoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. 88 minutes into the game, Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kent Näver made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. If Jose Indalecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vykans Vikingar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
