Martin Mutumba started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Vykans Vikingar got a freekick which was hit by Jose Indalecio. In the 6th minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linus Ahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Linus Ahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Mutumba in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Hugo Eden notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Svartvallstjärnens IF's Linus Ahlquist. Linus Ahlquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Svartvallstjärnens IF fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Svartvallstjärnens IF's Jan-Erik Carlsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Åke Vestlund in the 22nd minute of play. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Ljusberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Martin Mutumba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Linus Ahlquist. Svartvallstjärnens IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Mutumba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. With his leg Marcus Ekrot managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Svartvallstjärnens IF's Jan-Erik Carlsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 32nd minute of the match Svartvallstjärnens IF got a corner. Vykans Vikingar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Björn Andberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot got control of the ball when Karl-Åke Vestlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Linus Ahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulf Säf got free with Marcus Ekrot in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Martin Mutumba hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Erik Carlsson to make the kick off. When Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner led Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba to fire away a dangerous shot which Linus Ahlquist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcus Ekrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Erik Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Erik Carlsson in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Ekrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Linus Ahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Mutumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Carlsson in the 62nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Svartvallstjärnens IF's zone, Mats Hermansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Linus Ahlquist came out of the goal and Mats Hermansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Svartvallstjärnens IF made a substitution. Tommy Granberg replaced Ulf Säf. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Tore Svartström was substituted for Jan-Erik Carlsson. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Bengt-Arne Haglund replaced Martin Mutumba. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Ljusberg in the 83rd minute of play. The tension between the Vykans Vikingar and the Svartvallstjärnens IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Simon Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vykans Vikingar eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
