In the 15th minute Cosme Larpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Mejling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Westerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Golden Lions FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joakim Haegg in the 19th minute. The corner ended in Joakim Haegg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bagarmossen's Wictor Mejling did a great save. If Frans Hökkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Bagarmossen's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Nyström came free, but Wictor Mejling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Loco Durazno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wictor Mejling was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mats Nyström made a kick off. The Golden Lions FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Golden Lions FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
