Ariel Leguizamón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bayan Baye in the 3rd minute of play. Sören Tunberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkın Öğüç, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Arne Nilsson in the 39th minute of play forced Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's goalkeeper Ariel Leguizamón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivar Siöberg made a kick off. Ivar Siöberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ariel Leguizamón made a huge save. Mikael Liberatore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ariel Leguizamón having to make a save. When Nicholas Bokvist fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's protests and gave Nicholas Bokvist a yellow card for diving instead.
