In the 7th minute, Filomeno Firme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Teofilo Etxatxu came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AZURDUY F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofilo Etxatxu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to QxQ Torun getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Krzysztof Giejda hit a great ball. After 18 played minutes AZURDUY F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Tonio. AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save AZURDUY F.C. from getting a goal against them. Artur Draper might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulises Bastian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artur Draper ran back to his position shaking his head. AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save AZURDUY F.C. from getting a goal against them. Ignacy Poling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filomeno Firme's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. If Artur Draper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. QxQ Torun's Ignacy Poling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Firme in the 40th minute of play. After the first half AZURDUY F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artur Draper to strike the kick off in the second half. When QxQ Torun's Artur Draper in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AZURDUY F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Ignacy Poling successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 63rd minute, AZURDUY F.C.'s Luis Cloyo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luis Cloyo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AZURDUY F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luis Cloyo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Draper in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Napoleon Wojno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulises Bastian. AZURDUY F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Napoleon Wojno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 82nd minute Krzysztof Giejda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Artur Draper managed to get in a good position for a shot. QxQ Torun's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Draper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Bastian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 2-2. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.
After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. AZURDUY F.C.'s Teofilo Etxatxu started the play with the initial kick off. With his leg Ulises Bastian managed to avoid a goal in the 102ndth minute, when QxQ Torun's Artur Draper fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Napoleon Wojno came free with the goalkeeper in the 107th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ulises Bastian could save by the left post. In the 110th minute the ball was on its way in behind AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper Ulises Bastian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teofilo Etxatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 112th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 115 minutes into the match, Victorio Rexino notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of QxQ Torun's Ignacy Poling. Ignacy Poling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AZURDUY F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
