When Reinhold Kapzan fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oberdurwittgen's protests and gave Reinhold Kapzan a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Oberdurwittgen got a freekick which was hit by Reinhold Kapzan. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Cartagena Red Wolves:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oberdurwittgen:s goal. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, Oberdurwittgen's Mauritz Sorge got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cebrián Abajas. When Reinhold Kapzan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 22 minutes had been played. In the 23rd minute, Reinhold Kapzan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Fulgencio Orozco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cartagena Red Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulgencio Orozco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Obermeier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herbert Obermeier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firman Palanques in the 29th minute of the match. Cebrián Abajas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özcan Schwochow in the 31st minute of play. Herbert Obermeier came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Cartagena Red Wolves's Firman Palanques. But to his dismay, Firman Palanques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 39 played minutes Oberdurwittgen got a freekick which was hit by Mauritz Sorge. Ildefonso Bargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Firman Palanques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartagena Red Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Firman Palanques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Özcan Schwochow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Friedl Plischke made a kick off. Firman Palanques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Herbert Obermeier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 53rd minute, Firman Palanques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Oberdurwittgen booed when Cartagena Red Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Orozco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Obermeier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angel Mora in the 57th minute. Angel Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Oberdurwittgen got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Czerwinsky. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Firman Palanques put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Herbert Obermeier. The supporters of Oberdurwittgen booed when Cartagena Red Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ereinotz Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cebrián Abajas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Oberdurwittgen getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Özcan Schwochow hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Firman Palanques got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Firman Palanques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Firman Palanques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cebrián Abajas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özcan Schwochow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Firman Palanques took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Herbert Obermeier to make any attempt to save it. Cartagena Red Wolves's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
