Will Theilacker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cartagena Red Wolves booed when Los Angeles Premier FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cartagena Red Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Angeles Premier FC the free kick. In the 40th minute, Fulgencio Orozco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Epperson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Firman Palanques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cebrián Abajas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Theilacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Tom Epperson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Bargas in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Will Theilacker made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ildefonso Bargas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 54th minute Angel Mora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Epperson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ildefonso Bargas, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Firman Palanques could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Tom Epperson however easily saved by the left post. 69 minutes into the game, one of Cartagena Red Wolves:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 71 minutes into the match, Giovanni Cody had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cebrián Abajas. Cartagena Red Wolves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giovanni Cody was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. In the 76th match minute, Cartagena Red Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Orozco to maneuver through the defense. Cebrián Abajas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jed Byrd, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute.
