Wesley Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wesley Carvalho in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Zbydniewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 4th match minute, FLAMENGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Korneliusz Figlewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute Wlodzimierz Lichucki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FLAMENGO booed when LEGIA WARSZAWA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jedrzej Raszek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, LEGIA WARSZAWA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Brytan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in LEGIA WARSZAWA's zone, Vítor Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wlodzimierz Lichucki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Hélder Faria made a huge save. After 55 minutes of play, LEGIA WARSZAWA's Wlodzimierz Lichucki made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Faria was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the FLAMENGO defense, Robert Brytan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder Faria. The FLAMENGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder Faria should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute Wlodzimierz Lichucki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FLAMENGO getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Rony Netto hit a great ball. Julian Zbydniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Machado in the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wesley Carvalho got free with Julian Zbydniewski in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, FLAMENGO's Rony Netto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julian Zbydniewski. Julian Zbydniewski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. LEGIA WARSZAWA had won after a very even match.
