Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wesley Carvalho got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Balduíno Pepetela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soccer Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Balduíno Pepetela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Soccer Sport Club's Balduíno Pepetela got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FLAMENGO! If Vítor Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hélder Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quim Lando in the 13th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Soccer Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Firmino to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Rony Netto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rolando Maurito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FLAMENGO's Amauri Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Maurito was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Amauri Machado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amauri Machado really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 31st minute, FLAMENGO's Rony Netto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rolando Maurito. Rolando Maurito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Amauri Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Soccer Sport Club's zone, Amauri Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Maurito came out of the goal and Amauri Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rony Netto in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Maurito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Rony Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Nicolas Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quim Lando was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Hélder Faria managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Soccer Sport Club's Balduíno Pepetela fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 61 minutes into the match, Amauri Machado notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Soccer Sport Club's Rolando Maurito. Rolando Maurito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amauri Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Amauri Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Maurito was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Amauri Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quim Lando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amauri Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rolando Maurito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Soccer Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Pegacho. 73 minutes into the game, FLAMENGO's Amauri Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Maurito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Rony Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Maurito having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Fábio Regalado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soccer Sport Club and the FLAMENGO players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FLAMENGO booed when Soccer Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Regalado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Nicolas Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Maurito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Vítor Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FLAMENGO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Vítor Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rolando Maurito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Maurito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Netto in the 93rd minute of the match. Pedro Pegacho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. FLAMENGO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
