Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Felix Hoogenkamp took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luiz Fábio Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Amauri Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Koopmans was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 11th minute, Rony Netto made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Koopmans. Maersk Kampala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dennis Koopmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Machado in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Maersk Kampala's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Machado came free, but Dennis Koopmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Koopmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Netto in the 23rd minute of play. Amauri Machado scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Koopmans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of FLAMENGO booed when Maersk Kampala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Dam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Koopmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Vítor Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Koopmans. Maersk Kampala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 39thth minute of the game Wesley Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maersk Kampala's Dennis Koopmans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cees Schuurman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hélder Faria. FLAMENGO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vítor Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Koopmans having to interfere. Felix Hoogenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Dennis Koopmans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FLAMENGO.

The wind increased when Wesley Carvalho made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Felix Hoogenkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maersk Kampala and the FLAMENGO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Maersk Kampala got a freekick which was hit by Felix Hoogenkamp. The goalkeeper, Dennis Koopmans, was totally fooled by FLAMENGO's Wesley Carvalho, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Vítor Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FLAMENGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cees Schuurman's late challenge caught a FLAMENGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cees Schuurman helped the player get up and apologised. Cees Schuurman hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Maersk Kampala's Dennis Koopmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Machado in the 66th minute of play. FLAMENGO were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Maersk Kampala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wesley Carvalho took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Juninho Campidelis to score against Dennis Koopmans in Maersk Kampala's goal. 0-5 after 67 minutes. 76 minutes into the match, Wesley Carvalho notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Maersk Kampala's Dennis Koopmans. Dennis Koopmans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rony Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Maersk Kampala's Dennis Koopmans got control of the ball when Rony Netto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Nicolas Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Rony Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Koopmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, Maersk Kampala's Joep Werner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Faria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The Maersk Kampala fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FLAMENGO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
