In the 4th minute Emir Dinç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Obermeier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Friedl Plischke came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Oberdurwittgen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Friedl Plischke couldn't finish the play. Giray İhtişam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Özcan Schwochow's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Giray İhtişam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Friedl Plischke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demirhan Çavas hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Arman Kıvılcım was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. Özcan Schwochow took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giray İhtişam. Giray İhtişam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, İsmail Cem Bağcı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aydinlikevler's supporters rose to their feet, but İsmail Cem Bağcı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Obermeier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herbert Obermeier didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Aydinlikevler's Barlas Balaban shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. İsmail Cem Bağcı's late challenge caught a Oberdurwittgen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giray İhtişam came out of the goal and Özcan Schwochow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Friedl Plischke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oberdurwittgen's supporters rose to their feet, but Friedl Plischke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giray İhtişam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barlas Balaban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herbert Obermeier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Oberdurwittgen were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Özcan Schwochow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Friedl Plischke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giray İhtişam having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Barlas Balaban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aydinlikevler's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barlas Balaban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aytunç Özmut hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Oberdurwittgen's Mauritz Sorge couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Aydinlikevler. Şinasi Resai kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Oberdurwittgen's Friedl Plischke ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giray İhtişam. Giray İhtişam yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Aydinlikevler's Giray İhtişam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özcan Schwochow in the 71st minute of play. Alfred Fuchs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giray İhtişam having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Aydinlikevler was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şinasi Resai to maneuver through the defense. Herbert Obermeier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barlas Balaban in the 90th minute of the match. Mauritz Sorge hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Oberdurwittgen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Oberdurwittgen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
