After 8 played minutes, Maersk Kampala's Marco Dam shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper 许风阳 came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maersk Kampala reached it. 陈源瑜 charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 陈源瑜 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes 芜湖同文中学 got a freekick which was hit by 陈源瑜. After a rather tough play, 芜湖同文中学's 邱飞斌 got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute 雷冰响 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Koopmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If 姚翀霆 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in 芜湖同文中学's zone, Felix Hoogenkamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 许风阳 came out of the goal and Felix Hoogenkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. Joep Werner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Hoogenkamp in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 许风阳 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Marco Dam put in a rough tackle. With a little luck, Maersk Kampala's Dennis Koopmans got control of the ball when 姚翀霆 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 洪森昆's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Koopmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Maersk Kampala's Hendrik Scholten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 许风阳 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 韩榕响 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Dennis Koopmans made a huge save.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Hoogenkamp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dennis Koopmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 雷冰响 in the 54th minute of play. If Felix Hoogenkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 雷冰响 scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Koopmans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 许风阳 made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Felix Hoogenkamp sent off a good shot on target. Dennis Koopmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 韩榕响 in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Maersk Kampala's goal looked a bit too open when 雷冰响 came free, but Dennis Koopmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Johan Scheepstra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dennis Koopmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 雷冰响, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maersk Kampala's Felix Hoogenkamp got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Maersk Kampala's goal looked a bit too open when 韩榕响 came free, but Dennis Koopmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, 芜湖同文中学's 许风阳 got control of the ball when Felix Hoogenkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, 雷冰响 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maersk Kampala eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
