Cebrián Abajas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 28 minutes into the match, Cartagena Red Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Firmino came free, but Cebrián Abajas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cebrián Abajas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Firmino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Ildefonso Bargas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Maurito. That made the score 2-2 in the 33 minute of play. If Ildefonso Bargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fulgencio Orozco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rolando Maurito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Rolando Maurito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Bargas in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Cartagena Red Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Mora to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th play minute Balduíno Pepetela came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cebrián Abajas. 4-5.
