But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Friedl Plischke couldn't finish the play. Percival de Mendonça scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Obermeier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Cachorro Louco F.C.'s Dário Paiva got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Herbert Obermeier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Dionísio in the 24th minute of the match. Friedl Plischke came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erasmo Palmeira could save by the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Leon Dagenbach put in a rough tackle. After 33 played minutes Cachorro Louco F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Abreu. If Reinhold Kapzan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei Saldanha in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herbert Obermeier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oberdurwittgen's Herbert Obermeier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Cosme in the 42nd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Friedl Plischke was the one to do the kick off. If Leandro Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinhold Kapzan hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oberdurwittgen's zone, Claudinei Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Obermeier came out of the goal and Claudinei Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinei Saldanha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Cachorro Louco F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 60thth minute of the game Claudinei Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oberdurwittgen's Herbert Obermeier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herbert Obermeier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinei Saldanha in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Oberdurwittgen's goalkeeper Herbert Obermeier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Dionísio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Saldanha in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Obermeier saved Oberdurwittgen from getting behind. 68 minutes into the game, Adalberto Sabóia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Herbert Obermeier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cachorro Louco F.C. made a substitution. Carlos Aparecido replaced Ivo Sá. In the 76th minute, Claudinei Saldanha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Herbert Obermeier. The goal made the score 1-4. Erasmo Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Czerwinsky in the 82nd minute of play. Erasmo Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Friedl Plischke in the 85th minute of the match. When Alfred Fuchs fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oberdurwittgen's protests and gave Alfred Fuchs a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cachorro Louco F.C. booed when Oberdurwittgen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Fuchs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Oberdurwittgen's Özcan Schwochow got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Cachorro Louco F.C.'s Hermínio Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedl Plischke in the 95th minute of play forced Cachorro Louco F.C.'s goalkeeper Erasmo Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
