Reşat Zikri made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Vítor Queirós sent off a good shot on target. The FLAMENGO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Korgun JK were winning 0-1.

55 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO's goalkeeper Hélder Faria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yılmaz Açar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Queirós in the 56th minute of play forced Korgun JK's goalkeeper Reşat Zikri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO's goal looked a bit too open when Ufuk Sökmensu came free, but Hélder Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Queirós in the 62nd minute of play forced Korgun JK's goalkeeper Reşat Zikri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FLAMENGO's Luiz Fábio Munhoz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Reşat Zikri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Machado in the 86th minute of the match. Wesley Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reşat Zikri having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FLAMENGO fully deserved thier win.
