If Robert Brytan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Wlodzimierz Lichucki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Rolando Maurito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Jedrzej Raszek fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LEGIA WARSZAWA's protests and gave Jedrzej Raszek a yellow card for diving instead. Jedrzej Raszek hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, LEGIA WARSZAWA's Jedrzej Raszek got a free kick in the 34th minute. Rolando Maurito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the game, Wlodzimierz Lichucki lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Rolando Maurito. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Quim Lando made a kick off. Rolando Maurito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wlodzimierz Lichucki in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Wlodzimierz Lichucki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Maurito was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Tadeusz Rostow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rolando Maurito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 minutes, Pedro Pegacho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soccer Sport Club and the LEGIA WARSZAWA players grew even worse after the yellow card. 58 minutes into the match, Soccer Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Rostow came free, but Rolando Maurito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Balduíno Pepetela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Maurito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wlodzimierz Lichucki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 played minutes Soccer Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Firmino. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Wlodzimierz Lichucki put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Maurito. In the 76th minute, Wlodzimierz Lichucki made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Maurito. Soccer Sport Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Rolando Maurito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Lichucki in the 79th minute of play. LEGIA WARSZAWA were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Soccer Sport Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Korneliusz Figlewski took the corner. After taking down the ball on LEGIA WARSZAWA's corner Korneliusz Figlewski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Maurito quite easily take care of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Diamantino Firmino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Maurito came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by LEGIA WARSZAWA's Wlodzimierz Lichucki. But to his dismay, Wlodzimierz Lichucki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. A collision led to LEGIA WARSZAWA getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Wlodzimierz Lichucki sped through Soccer Sport Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Maurito. LEGIA WARSZAWA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
