Álvaro Rezende was slow to take the kick. During this time VB-Team's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Álvaro Rezende almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Olimpia HSB's Tolek Kiszkiel did a great save. Olimpia HSB's Tolek Kiszkiel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Olimpia HSB from getting a goal against them. Joaquim de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Tolek Kiszkiel made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 17th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Fabian Czeszejko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia HSB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 28th minute, Fabian Czeszejko made a precise shot to the right of Armindo Salgado. VB-Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olimpia HSB were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after VB-Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernando Morientes took the corner. Armindo Salgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armindo Salgado. Armindo Salgado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Fabian Czeszejko took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Armindo Salgado to make any attempt to save it. Armindo Salgado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabian Czeszejko showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 62 minute of play. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 64th minute of play. VB-Team's Sandro Leitão was substituted for Qiu Sheng Bang. In the 67th minute of the match Olimpia HSB got a corner. VB-Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Morientes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Jacek Pietrowiak replaced Fabian Czeszejko. In the 72nd minute Olimpia HSB were awarded a corner. Fernando Morientes went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Panait Maxim heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Pietrowiak in the 78th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th match minute, Olimpia HSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Piekarczyk to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes, VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VB-Team reached it. After 88th play minutes Traian Hăvârneanu shot 1-8, a short shot which went by Tolek Kiszkiel and just under the crossbar into goal. After 92 minutes of play, VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu made it 2-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tolek Kiszkiel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Armindo Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacek Pietrowiak went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-9 was the resulting score. The Olimpia HSB supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Olimpia HSB would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
