Christer Belzner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. FC GIDLE were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after VB-Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zdzislaw Krzynowek took the corner. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Christer Belzner came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the FC GIDLE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christer Belzner couldn't finish the play. The supporters of VB-Team booed when FC GIDLE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Álvaro Rezende shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artur Sarnat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Armindo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Belzner, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. VB-Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zdzislaw Krzynowek ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Hamílton Vergílio to score against Armindo Salgado in VB-Team's goal. 2-1 after 70 minutes. Christer Belzner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Salgado having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Skikiewicz in the 78th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by VB-Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zdzislaw Krzynowek was slow to take the kick. During this time FC GIDLE's players had a chance to rest. In the 84th minute, Traian Hăvârneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomasz Skikiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC GIDLE's Artur Sarnat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC GIDLE players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VB-Team.
