The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Cléberson Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Mané Lara notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Ludomil Ziomkowski. Ludomil Ziomkowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Cléberson Munhoz hit a great ball. If Mané Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 16 minutes, Mané Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cléberson Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Lara in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludomil Ziomkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Virgiawan Laturua managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgiawan Laturua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Xande Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Mané Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guilherme Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso da Cunha in the 34th minute of play. Mané Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludomil Ziomkowski having to interfere. Ludomil Ziomkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgiawan Laturua went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ludomil Ziomkowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Xande Campbell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. Wlodzimierz Swoboda replaced David Brás. In the 63rd minute Xande Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilherme Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xande Campbell in the 66th minute of the match. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Guilherme Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xande Campbell in the 68th minute of play. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Guilherme Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Guilherme Catarinense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 90 minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xande Campbell who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Xande Campbell got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guilherme Catarinense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Afonso da Cunha put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Guilherme Catarinense. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Guilherme Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Guilherme Catarinense was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. When the match was over CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Joinville United - FSCMZ throughout the match.
