Gilson Matorin hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Milko in the 5th minute of the match. Valentin Bernal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovanildo Luis went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Moraes came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Dagoberto Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geovanildo Luis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Bernal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Haji Sarap came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Igor Milko. But to his dismay, Igor Milko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 29 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Bernal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valentin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's attentive Soin Buisan managed to snatch the ball when Karsten Ulbak made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Geovanildo Luis scored 2-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Bernal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Heintje Koehler got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dagoberto Moraes. Geovanildo Luis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Bernal having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Joinville City - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Milko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Haji Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Valentin Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Allbäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Marcus Allbäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Bernal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Monico in the 92nd minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Bernal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Joinville City - FSCMZ were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
