But to his dismay, Zoltán Petržela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kryštof Pešl got free with Markku Ruhanen in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Markku Ruhanen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Lamela in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Skýpala came free, but Markku Ruhanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Kolomazník during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when A.A. Čhecos Jrs. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Kolomazník didn't get a good kick on the ball.
