Maurício Bomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Borja in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Real Academia Serengetti's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Errando came free, but Ender Kuntay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ender Kuntay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Marquez in the 20th minute of the match. After 34 minutes of play, Real Academia Serengetti's Miguel Borja made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurício Bomba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacinto Farias's late challenge caught a AC LeX Luthor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Real Academia Serengetti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peep Pronk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Ender Kuntay came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk. But to his dismay, Peep Pronk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. AC LeX Luthor were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Real Academia Serengetti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pancho Branca took the corner. AC LeX Luthor's Pancho Branca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ender Kuntay in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 94 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ender Kuntay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AC LeX Luthor's Tolek Chazen got a free kick in the 95th minute. Maurício Bomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aryakumara Snow, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.

The AC LeX Luthor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC LeX Luthor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
