In the 7th minute, Elvis Töpfer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TSV Delliehausen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Paul Christini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Marc Debut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Heintz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 13th minute of play. Rafael Heintz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Edson Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after TSV Delliehausen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tao Xing Yong took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Djalma Di Filippo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rafael Heintz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by TSV Delliehausen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tao Xing Yong was slow to take the kick. During this time Edson Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. In the 25thth minute of the game Elvis Töpfer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edson Futebol Clube's Paul Christini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernesto Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Rafael Heintz made a huge save. 36 minutes into the game, Elvis Töpfer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Paul Christini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute, Heleno de Freitas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Edson Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 45thth minute of the game Ernesto Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TSV Delliehausen's Rafael Heintz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Fontes in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Heintz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to TSV Delliehausen getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Linus Mattes hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Heleno de Freitas made the kick off in the second half. Elvis Töpfer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Paul Christini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, TSV Delliehausen's goal looked a bit too open when Heleno de Freitas came free, but Rafael Heintz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by TSV Delliehausen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edson Futebol Clube's Paul Christini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Marc Debut in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Elvis Töpfer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paul Christini. Elvis Töpfer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Paul Christini made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Elvis Töpfer sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the game, Tao Xing Yong threw the ball into play from the sideline. TSV Delliehausen's Leonard Mardare quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Paul Christini had in the 71stth minute some difficulties stopping Linus Mattes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Lucas Hulk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rafael Heintz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Edson Futebol Clube's Ernesto Fontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Heintz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Paul Christini made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Elvis Töpfer sent off a good shot on target. TSV Delliehausen's Leonard Mardare quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tao Xing Yong, made in the 83rd minute of the game. Elvis Töpfer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Paul Christini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90th minute of the game Tao Xing Yong made a throw-in which Ernesto Fontes played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marc Debut in the 91st minute of play forced Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paul Christini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elvis Töpfer came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the TSV Delliehausen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvis Töpfer couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, TSV Delliehausen's Frank-Ulrich Trenner got a free kick in the 98th minute. The score was 3-3 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.
After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. TSV Delliehausen's Elvis Töpfer started the play with the initial kick off. Heleno de Freitas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 106th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tuncay Şanlı made in the 110th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ernesto Fontes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Fontes in the 112th minute of play forced TSV Delliehausen's goalkeeper Rafael Heintz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 115 minutes into the match, TSV Delliehausen's goal looked a bit too open when Heleno de Freitas came free, but Rafael Heintz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With the score at 3-3, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.
The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Heleno de Freitas did a quick kick off. Elvis Töpfer struck a weak shot in the 122nd minute. Paul Christini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSV Delliehausen. After 125 minutes of play, Edson Futebol Clube's Ernesto Fontes made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Heintz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Edson Futebol Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while TSV Delliehausen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
