GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Skager in the 42nd minute of play. Zico Zellier hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Hortêncio Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
