With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Strand in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ioan Voicu saved Club Atlético Temperley from getting behind. Cássio Corinth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Ungbo in the 8th minute of the match. Lino Lizbeth's late challenge caught a Red John's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Lizbeth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Club Atlético Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Lizbeth to maneuver through the defense. Red John's Cássio Corinth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Lopez in the 17th minute of play. The throw-in from Lino Lizbeth in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Red John's Enrico Maestri. The supporters of Red John booed when Club Atlético Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Red John's Ingvar Strand in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. One of Club Atlético Temperley:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Red John:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Laurendi got free with Cássio Corinth in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
