In the 13th minute of the match Lechuguitas F.C. got a corner. Cachiyuyo EAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Evaristo Velasco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Evaristo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Tercero, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cachiyuyo EAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florentino Nabar was slow to take the kick. During this time Lechuguitas F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. But to his dismay, Hélio Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélio Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Nascimento in the 53rd minute of play. The Cachiyuyo EAS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lechuguitas F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
