Francisco Alberto Zañartu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Egun Pais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Cole in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Andy Cole who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Academia's Iwan Grocholski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais got control of the ball when Robby Woody tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Egun Pais managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when La Academia's Robby Woody fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 22 minutes in the game, Robby Woody dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robby Woody in the 26th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robby Woody got free with Egun Pais in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iwan Grocholski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Cole in the 30th minute of play. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Alberto Zañartu in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Lokon Pøhl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Academia's Francisco Alberto Zañartu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Francisco Alberto Zañartu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Egun Pais made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Robby Woody made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Mazuste came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute La Academia were awarded a corner. Maxín Bacarreza went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Francisco Alberto Zañartu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Egun Pais quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Floresta Negra FC's Alexsandro Mandrak was substituted for Hector Bazkoare. In the 57th minute, Carlos Fernando Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alto Muro kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Sillén came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Academia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
