Iwan Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guto Gamarra kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Egun Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Putra Parios in the 14th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, one of Floresta Negra FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 19 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Areion Koulpasis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iwan Grocholski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Areion Koulpasis sped through La Academia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iwan Grocholski. 24 minutes into the match, Andy Cole notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of La Academia's Iwan Grocholski. Iwan Grocholski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andy Cole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Iwan Grocholski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egun Pais made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Gong Peng Bo sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Andy Cole made the kick off in the second half. Iwan Grocholski came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole. But to his dismay, Andy Cole quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 62nd minute, Lokon Pøhl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iwan Grocholski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Floresta Negra FC made a substitution. Alexsandro Mandrak replaced Hector Bazkoare. La Academia made a substitution. Eric Sillén replaced Gong Peng Bo. In the 68th minute Francisco Alberto Zañartu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robby Woody in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egun Pais saved Floresta Negra FC from getting behind.
