Rodrigo Daudet started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Daudet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Horaţiu Petran. Rodrigo Daudet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Daudet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Horaţiu Petran when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tadeo Vazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deivid Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Horaţiu Petran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Piszczor in the 18th minute of the match. Horaţiu Petran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mieszko Piszczor, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Breckenfeld in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeo Vazquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, Weltevedren's goal looked a bit too open when Erwin Bienvenu came free, but Tadeo Vazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Varga in the 31st minute of play forced Weltevedren's goalkeeper Tadeo Vazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Daudet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horaţiu Petran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the Weltevedren defense, Walmir Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeo Vazquez. The Weltevedren fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeo Vazquez should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felice Della Francesca during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felice Della Francesca hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Zoltán Varga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Zoltán Varga made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Weltevedren! Tadeo Vazquez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstantinos Kroustallis's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Rodrigo Daudet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Montaño to maneuver through the defense. Mieszko Piszczor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horaţiu Petran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Daudet's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. The supporters of Weltevedren booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignác Mayer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Mieszko Piszczor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Varga in the 74th minute of play forced Weltevedren's goalkeeper Tadeo Vazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mieszko Piszczor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Weltevedren were awarded a corner. Rodrigo Daudet went to the cornerflag to take it. Zoltán Varga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Tadeo Vazquez made a huge save. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Weltevedren's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ignác Mayer was slow to take the kick. During this time Gyál United's players had a chance to rest. Gyál United's Ignác Mayer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tadeo Vazquez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 88th minute, Rodrigo Daudet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Weltevedren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3.
