A sloppy throw-in by Alifonso Irureta in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Ribba's Ivan Almstedt. In the 27th minute Pavel Ilgov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nourredine Aggoune made an important save on a dangerous shot by Curcio Alonso in the 30th minute. When Pavel Ilgov came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FC Ribba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Ilgov couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Pavel Ilgov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Generoso Beloki was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. FC Ribba's Anfilogino Pio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Casado Castan, made in the 35th minute of the game. FC Ribba's Nourredine Aggoune proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ribba from getting a goal against them. Paul Geeraerts struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Nourredine Aggoune didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vodka Stars 1949. FC Ribba's Edgar Pettersson was substituted for Pavel Ilgov. Generoso Beloki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Martinsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Martinsson in the 42nd minute of play forced Vodka Stars 1949's goalkeeper Generoso Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Curcio Alonso to strike the kick off in the second half. Nourredine Aggoune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Véber in the 52nd minute of play. Curcio Alonso scored 1-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nourredine Aggoune, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vodka Stars 1949's Martin Batalla was substituted for Erik Véber. In the 59th minute, Simon Martinsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Generoso Beloki. The goal made the score 1-4. Vodka Stars 1949 were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after FC Ribba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Curcio Alonso took the corner. At last the ball reached Martin Batalla at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of FC Ribba. 2-4. Stig-Åke Vacker might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Generoso Beloki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Åke Vacker ran back to his position shaking his head. Generoso Beloki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Vacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, FC Ribba's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Geeraerts came free, but Nourredine Aggoune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Stig-Åke Vacker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. Generoso Beloki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Åke Vacker's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, FC Ribba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Vennerberg to maneuver through the defense. Nourredine Aggoune took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curcio Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Paul Geeraerts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nourredine Aggoune was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-6. 93 minutes into the match, FC Ribba's goal looked a bit too open when Curcio Alonso came free, but Nourredine Aggoune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Although Vodka Stars 1949 had been in control for most of the match, FC Ribba still came away with the win.
