MUGAN FK's Färzäli Äsädov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Marquez in the 9th minute of play. Merlin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MUGAN FK the free kick. The supporters of MUGAN FK booed when Merlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Elşän Abduläzov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. MUGAN FK's Färzäli Äsädov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Domingues in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, MUGAN FK's Zaur Omarov got a free kick in the 44th minute. After some careless play in the MUGAN FK defense, Vítor Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Färzäli Äsädov. The MUGAN FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Färzäli Äsädov should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Without hesitation aimed to the right of Färzäli Äsädov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
