The long shot by Locaio Galnares in the 4th minute really tested Comunardo Di Giacomo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. El Paso AD's Jeremias Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Madaio in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the El Paso AD defense, Armando Madaio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Costa. The El Paso AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Costa should have stopped the shot. Armando Madaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, El Paso AD's Silvio Blanco got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Armando Madaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Costa was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Jeremias Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Madaio in the 17th minute of the match. If Armando Madaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Arnalt Comas came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the El Paso AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnalt Comas couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnalt Comas made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Alvise Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dubai FC and the El Paso AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Alvise Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Comunardo Di Giacomo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Echeto's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes Dubai FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was César Lagunas who took care of the corner kick. Comunardo Di Giacomo moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. Bernardo Lampa struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Jeremias Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dubai FC. Dubai FC's Comunardo Di Giacomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Echeto in the 59th minute of play. El Paso AD's César Lagunas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Comunardo Di Giacomo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A beautiful save bye Dubai FC's goalie prevented a goal. 63 minutes into the game, Armando Madaio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeremias Costa. Armando Madaio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After 70 minutes, Ezequiel Echeto made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Dubai FC's Comunardo Di Giacomo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Armin Vasco's late challenge caught a El Paso AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armin Vasco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of El Paso AD booed when Dubai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnalt Comas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. The Dubai FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dubai FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
