When Cesare Mastrangelo fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dubai FC's protests and gave Cesare Mastrangelo a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Lampa in the 31st minute of play forced Baykan FK's goalkeeper Turabi Keskinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Dubai FC were awarded a corner. Bernardo Lampa went to the cornerflag to take it. Armando Madaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dubai FC's Comunardo Di Giacomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yahya Başdemir in the 39th minute of play. Andrea De Laurentiis kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comunardo Di Giacomo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Dubai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran came free, but Comunardo Di Giacomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

After 52 minutes of play, Baykan FK's Yahya Başdemir made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dubai FC's Comunardo Di Giacomo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Dubai FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Baykan FK booed when Dubai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesare Mastrangelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Yahya Başdemir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Dubai FC's Comunardo Di Giacomo got control of the ball when Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Dubai FC booed when Baykan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çeliker Uğuray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Cumhur Hükümrans short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Comunardo Di Giacomo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran got free with Comunardo Di Giacomo in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serter Candemir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Comunardo Di Giacomo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Dario Faccio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Comunardo Di Giacomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahya Başdemir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Armando Madaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dubai FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Baykan FK's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Madaio came free, but Turabi Keskinel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Serter Candemir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baykan FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Serter Candemir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Comunardo Di Giacomo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baykan FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
