Nk Prugovo's Ranko Ramljak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Seţeanu in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Seţeanu in the 10th minute of play forced Nk Prugovo's goalkeeper Ranko Ramljak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petar Paškov took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ion Dragnea. Ion Dragnea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ranko Ramljak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Seţeanu in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Nk Prugovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragutin Radeta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Nk Prugovo's zone, Tiberiu Seţeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ranko Ramljak came out of the goal and Tiberiu Seţeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ion Dragnea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toma Džindo in the 34th minute. Ion Dragnea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragutin Radeta in the 37th minute of play. Ranko Ramljak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiberiu Seţeanu went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Progresul Bucuresti's zone, Dragutin Radeta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Dragnea came out of the goal and Dragutin Radeta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ion Dragnea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragutin Radeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Ion Dragnea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dragutin Radeta in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Dragutin Radeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ion Dragnea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Progresul Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Toma Džindo came free, but Ion Dragnea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Corneliu Dănănae fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progresul Bucuresti's protests and gave Corneliu Dănănae a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Progresul Bucuresti getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Corneliu Dănănae hit a great ball. Ion Dragnea came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Nk Prugovo's Tonino Mornar. But to his dismay, Tonino Mornar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 65th minute, Petar Paškov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tiberiu Seţeanu came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Progresul Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Seţeanu couldn't finish the play. Ion Dragnea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragutin Radeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petar Paškov scored 5-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ion Dragnea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petar Paškov hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Tiberiu Seţeanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Ranko Ramljak made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Petar Paškov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ranko Ramljak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Vlădoiu in the 96th minute of the match.
