In the 5th minute Luiz Fabiano Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turabi Keskinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Turabi Keskinel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The audience was convinced that Délio do Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Turabi Keskinel was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. When Merlin's Délio do Vale in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baykan FK's goalie prevented a goal. Patrick Urbano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran in the 13th minute. Turabi Keskinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Domingues in the 15th minute of play. Serter Candemir kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Baykan FK's zone, Luiz Fabiano Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Turabi Keskinel came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sungur Şirvan got free with Patrick Urbano in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merlin's Patrick Urbano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Merlin from getting a goal against them. Turabi Keskinel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio do Vale in the 24th minute of the match. After 25 minutes Baykan FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Délio do Vale who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Baykan FK's goalie and right to Gláuber Arruda. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Baykan FK's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio do Vale in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Turabi Keskinel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the game, Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Patrick Urbano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fabiano Domingues in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Turabi Keskinel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, Merlin's goal looked a bit too open when Serter Candemir came free, but Patrick Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serter Candemir in the 46th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the game, Ali Kaan Akdemirci landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Vítor Marquez's late challenge caught a Baykan FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Merlin's Vítor Marquez got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Délio do Vale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 52 minutes into the game, one of Merlin:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Azim Heybetli walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Turabi Keskinel came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Merlin's Vítor Marquez. But to his dismay, Vítor Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Queiroz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 67th playminute. After a rather tough play, Merlin's Ciro de Azevedo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Patrick Queiroz hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Merlin's Vítor Marquez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Turabi Keskinel. That made the score 3-3 after 78 minutes of play. Patrick Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Cumhur Hükümran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Délio do Vale took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Turabi Keskinel. Turabi Keskinel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Luiz Fabiano Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turabi Keskinel having to interfere.
