After 35 played minutes Overdrive got a freekick which was hit by Theo Altmann. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yahya Başdemir in the 38th minute of play forced Overdrive's goalkeeper Christoph Neumann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Baykan FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ted von Rumohr came free, but Turabi Keskinel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Ernst blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Turabi Keskinel having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Ernst made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Baykan FK's Mithat Satuk got a free kick in the 50th minute. Christoph Neumann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Kaan Akdemirci in the 55th minute. In the 55th minute, Raik Kunze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Overdrive players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
