Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emil Vlădoiu in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christoph Neumann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Overdrive's zone, Emil Ţeica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoph Neumann came out of the goal and Emil Ţeica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Furdui got free with Christoph Neumann in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Emil Ţeica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Neumann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Wessel in the 30th minute of play forced Progresul Bucuresti's goalkeeper Ion Dragnea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emil Ţeica during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
