Hélder Almeida hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Délio do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ranko Ramljak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Marquez went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Délio do Vale took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ranko Ramljak. Ranko Ramljak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 24 minutes into the match, Nk Prugovo's goal looked a bit too open when Délio do Vale came free, but Ranko Ramljak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio do Vale in the 28th minute of play forced Nk Prugovo's goalkeeper Ranko Ramljak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Nk Prugovo's goalkeeper Ranko Ramljak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fabiano Domingues. Nk Prugovo's Ranko Ramljak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio do Vale in the 31st minute of play. When Petar Paškov fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nk Prugovo's protests and gave Petar Paškov a yellow card for diving instead. Ranko Ramljak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Fabiano Domingues in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Domingues put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ranko Ramljak. After 37 played minutes Merlin got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Almeida. In the 40th minute, Vítor Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ranko Ramljak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio do Vale in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Merlin's Luiz Fabiano Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ranko Ramljak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio do Vale in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ranko Ramljak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Petar Paškov was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. After 56 played minutes Nk Prugovo got a freekick which was hit by Petar Paškov. Patrick Urbano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gašpar Loje in the 59th minute. Ranko Ramljak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio do Vale in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Nk Prugovo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mihael Vodnik hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio do Vale in the 69th minute of play forced Nk Prugovo's goalkeeper Ranko Ramljak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Nk Prugovo got a freekick which was hit by Tonino Mornar. Merlin's Luiz Fabiano Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nk Prugovo booed when Merlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Merlin's goalkeeper Patrick Urbano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tonino Mornar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tonino Mornar during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Nk Prugovo defense, Luiz Fabiano Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ranko Ramljak. The Nk Prugovo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ranko Ramljak should have stopped the shot. Patrick Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gašpar Loje in the 85th minute of play. Patrick Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gašpar Loje, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Gašpar Loje reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patrick Urbano. The goal made the score 5-1. Gašpar Loje got in the 91st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Patrick Urbano handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. A collision led to Nk Prugovo getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Mihael Vodnik hit a great ball. Merlin were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
