Färzäli Äsädov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Délio do Vale's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Elman Mälikov's late challenge caught a Merlin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elman Mälikov helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, MUGAN FK's Elman Mälikov got a free kick in the 4th minute. Patrick Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xalid Ağakärimov in the 7th minute of play. MUGAN FK's Färzäli Äsädov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio do Vale in the 12th minute of play. MUGAN FK's Elman Mälikov got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Elman Mälikov off the ground. After a rather tough play, MUGAN FK's Elman Mälikov got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Patrick Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Merlin's Délio do Vale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Färzäli Äsädov. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Merlin's zone, Elşän Abduläzov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Urbano came out of the goal and Elşän Abduläzov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xalid Ağakärimov scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick Urbano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Älif Ähmädov managed to get in a good position for a shot. MUGAN FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Älif Ähmädov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Vítor Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Färzäli Äsädov was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. MUGAN FK's Färzäli Äsädov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save MUGAN FK from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio do Vale in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Färzäli Äsädov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Xalid Ağakärimov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, MUGAN FK's Färzäli Äsädov got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vítor Marquez hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Vítor Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Färzäli Äsädov having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Elşän Abduläzov made the kick off in the second half. Färzäli Äsädov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. MUGAN FK's Rubaul Daşdıyev got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 56 minutes, Vítor Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Färzäli Äsädov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Délio do Vale went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Vítor Marquez hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of MUGAN FK booed when Merlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merlin's Patrick Urbano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Merlin from getting a goal against them. Luiz Fabiano Domingues took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Färzäli Äsädov. Färzäli Äsädov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 74th minute, Vítor Marquez made a precise shot to the right of Färzäli Äsädov. MUGAN FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Délio do Vale sped through MUGAN FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Färzäli Äsädov. Patrick Urbano came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by MUGAN FK's Xalid Ağakärimov. But to his dismay, Xalid Ağakärimov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. MUGAN FK's Rubaul Daşdıyev got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Ibrahim Fätäliyev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Urbano having to make a save. Färzäli Äsädov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio do Vale in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, MUGAN FK's goal looked a bit too open when Délio do Vale came free, but Färzäli Äsädov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merlin were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MUGAN FK for a fine match.
