After 12 minutes, Anton Tunaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avantul Sighiartau and the Dubai FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anton Tunaru kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Dubai FC's Bernardo Lampa got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cazimir Grecu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Comunardo Di Giacomo made a huge save. A collision led to Dubai FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alessandro Bassi hit a great ball. In the 18th minute Andrei Ghionescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Di Giacomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Zbora hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Pancu in the 22nd minute of play forced Dubai FC's goalkeeper Comunardo Di Giacomo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dubai FC's Comunardo Di Giacomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Grecu in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Niculae Mugur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avantul Sighiartau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 42 played minutes Dubai FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Riccitelli. Dubai FC's Comunardo Di Giacomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Ghionescu in the 43rd minute of play. Achille Di Pietrantonio lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Dubai FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Avantul Sighiartau:s goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Avantul Sighiartau's Niculae Mugur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Comunardo Di Giacomo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Comunardo Di Giacomo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Avantul Sighiartau's Emil Pancu. But to his dismay, Emil Pancu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Alessandro Bassi kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Cazimir Grecu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Comunardo Di Giacomo. Dubai FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cazimir Grecu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Comunardo Di Giacomo came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Avantul Sighiartau's Mihăiţă Guriță. But to his dismay, Mihăiţă Guriță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Alvise Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Tutuianu having to interfere. If Alvaro Di Mario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Emil Pancu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avantul Sighiartau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dubai FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Avantul Sighiartau's Emil Pancu got a free kick in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Dubai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Guriță came free, but Comunardo Di Giacomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Manuel Zbora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Comunardo Di Giacomo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. A collision led to Dubai FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alvaro Di Mario hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes Avantul Sighiartau got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Dărmănescu. Marius Tutuianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Lampa, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
