Délio do Vale scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 苏峰渊, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 范昆霆 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 毛升朋 in the 16th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Patrick Queiroz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 苏峰渊 was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 范昆霆's late challenge caught a Merlin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 范昆霆 helped the player get up and apologised. When Luiz Fabiano Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Merlin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Domingues couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Luiz Fabiano Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 苏峰渊 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 34 played minutes Merlin got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Queiroz. In the 36th minute Vítor Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 苏峰渊 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 苏峰渊 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Délio do Vale went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Vítor Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes 甘肃定西犀鸟俱乐部队 got a freekick which was hit by 柯洋义. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Délio do Vale was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio do Vale in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 苏峰渊 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Fabiano Domingues struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. 苏峰渊 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merlin. It was beautiful to see 甘肃定西犀鸟俱乐部队's 范挺博 in action when he in the 68th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Luiz Fabiano Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Délio do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Merlin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Délio do Vale couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fabiano Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. 苏峰渊 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Délio do Vale sped through 甘肃定西犀鸟俱乐部队's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 苏峰渊. Délio do Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 苏峰渊. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Délio do Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luiz Fabiano Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fabiano Domingues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but 苏峰渊 made a huge save. Merlin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
