Elman Mälikov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Ercole Damiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th minute, Alberigo Di Paolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Building's Ercole Damiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ibrahim Fätäliyev in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Federico Lopez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Färzäli Äsädov, 1-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Alberigo Di Paolo put in a rough tackle. Ercole Damiani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubaul Daşdıyev in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, one of MUGAN FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 29 minutes into the match, MUGAN FK's goalkeeper Färzäli Äsädov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Helfer. Building's Ercole Damiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elman Mälikov in the 31st minute of play. In the 31st minute Elman Mälikov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Damiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Building's Federico Lopez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Biagio Gava got free with Färzäli Äsädov in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind MUGAN FK's goalkeeper Färzäli Äsädov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Färzäli Äsädov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Helfer in the 43rd minute. Alessandro Helfer scored 4-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Färzäli Äsädov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubaul Daşdıyev to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, MUGAN FK's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Lopez came free, but Färzäli Äsädov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55thth minute of the game Federico Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MUGAN FK's Färzäli Äsädov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Elşän Abduläzov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ercole Damiani, 4-2. 62 minutes into the match, Building's goalkeeper Ercole Damiani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xalid Ağakärimov. The crowd rose to their feet as Rubaul Daşdıyev kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ercole Damiani. That made the score 4-3 in the 65 minute of play. When Älif Ähmädov fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MUGAN FK's protests and gave Älif Ähmädov a yellow card for diving instead. Älif Ähmädov kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Ercole Damiani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Building booed when MUGAN FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xalid Ağakärimov didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Helfer in the 80th minute of play forced MUGAN FK's goalkeeper Färzäli Äsädov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Building defense, Elşän Abduläzov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Damiani. The Building fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Damiani should have stopped the shot. If Alessandro Helfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Färman Äliyev's late challenge caught a Building's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Färman Äliyev helped the player get up and apologised. MUGAN FK:s Färzäli Äsädov showed great skill when he stopped Alvise Borgatello:s penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessandro Helfer in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Färzäli Äsädov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MUGAN FK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Building had won, even though MUGAN FK had held more of the ball.
