With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Madaio in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murray Horner saved JAYET from getting behind. Comunardo Di Giacomo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Larkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Elias Ernst ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Comunardo Di Giacomo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Comunardo Di Giacomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Lefler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Dubai FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Donato.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Madaio to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Dave Scirea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dubai FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JAYET the free kick. A collision led to Dubai FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dave Scirea hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Elias Ernst had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Comunardo Di Giacomo. Dubai FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Ernst was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Comunardo Di Giacomo made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Rob Boswell sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, Dubai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinando Fantozzi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dubai FC's zone, Charlie Larkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Comunardo Di Giacomo came out of the goal and Charlie Larkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvaro Di Mario charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Di Mario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
