The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the game, FC ICEWIND DALE's Fernando Marinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marek Wielopolski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Skallagrimur's Marek Wielopolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Marinho in the 16th minute of play. Fernando Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marek Wielopolski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Marek Wielopolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Fernando Marinho took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marek Wielopolski. Marek Wielopolski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 26 minutes into the match, FC ICEWIND DALE's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Cârstea came free, but Kuno Lüdimõis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match FC ICEWIND DALE got a corner. Skallagrimur's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erik Stor ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Wiktor Ferfecki managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ding Beckham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marek Wielopolski having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, FC ICEWIND DALE's goalkeeper Kuno Lüdimõis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Reno. Skallagrimur's Marek Wielopolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Marinho in the 36th minute of play. Kuno Lüdimõis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Godsk in the 39th minute of play. When Fernando Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC ICEWIND DALE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Marinho couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Fernando Marinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marek Wielopolski. Skallagrimur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Marinho to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, one of Skallagrimur:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marek Wielopolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Marinho in the 53rd minute of the match. Kuno Lüdimõis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timofey Melnikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Fernando Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
