Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Délio do Vale got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Heiligenboom's Gerwin Steyns nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Urbano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 9th minute Luiz Fabiano Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jostein Sønsteby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Humberto Lute cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Patrick Urbano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the game, Gerwin Steyns recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patrick Urbano. Gerwin Steyns showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Gerwin Steyns took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick Urbano. Patrick Urbano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When Ciro de Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merlin's protests and gave Ciro de Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Vincent Beukers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Patrick Urbano. Merlin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Heiligenboom's Falco Staal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Merlin's Patrick Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Beukers in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Délio do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jostein Sønsteby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merlin were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Heiligenboom's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Délio do Vale took the corner. The corner ended in Délio do Vale almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Heiligenboom's Jostein Sønsteby did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celsinho Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. Merlin's Luiz Fabiano Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Merlin's Patrick Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Lute in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Merlin's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Alvarenga came free, but Patrick Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerwin Steyns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fabiano Domingues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Jostein Sønsteby made a huge save. In the 66th minute Humberto Lute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merlin's Patrick Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerwin Steyns in the 69th minute of play. Heiligenboom's Jostein Sønsteby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Marquez in the 71st minute of play. Patrick Urbano came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Heiligenboom's Gerwin Steyns. But to his dismay, Gerwin Steyns quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After some careless play in the Merlin defense, Falco Staal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Urbano. The Merlin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Urbano should have stopped the shot. In the 81st match minute, Merlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Marquez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio do Vale in the 85th minute of play forced Heiligenboom's goalkeeper Jostein Sønsteby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Heiligenboom's Celsinho Alvarenga in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merlin's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Merlin's Vítor Marquez got a free kick in the 87th minute. Patrick Urbano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Lute went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute Celsinho Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Merlin's goal looked a bit too open when Gerwin Steyns came free, but Patrick Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Heiligenboom players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
