The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tom Bonnardel to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Artres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Borg to maneuver through the defense. Flavien Cardot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Giertych, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Mikolaj Giertych could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Flavien Cardot made a huge save. Valentin Geambașu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavien Cardot having to interfere. Flavien Cardot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Saúl Menem in the 69th minute of the match. When Jean-Baptiste Gallice fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Artres's protests and gave Jean-Baptiste Gallice a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Jean-Baptiste Gallice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the game, Carlos Saúl Menem cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Flavien Cardot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Saúl Menem scored 0-9 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavien Cardot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, one of Artres:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Artres. Flavien Cardot had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Napoleon Lewicki's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience was convinced that Tom Bonnardel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kang Ying Hai was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Saúl Menem got free with Flavien Cardot in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Mohamed-Ali Wisniewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavien Cardot made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Carlos Saúl Menem sent off a good shot on target.
