When Tiaguinho Faria fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's protests and gave Tiaguinho Faria a yellow card for diving instead. Samuca Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Carlos Arantes got a free kick in the 14th minute. Douglas Viana acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Arnaldo Coutinho. After 16 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Mendonça. In the 17th minute of the match Hermínio Maciel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Viana skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Rodrigo Penha hit a great ball. When Daniel França fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Samuca Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrinho do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Couto to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Coutinho, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 42 minutes, Rodrigo Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SORRISO E. C. and the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rodrigo Penha hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiaguinho Faria made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Faria in the 52nd minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Douglas Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cleiton Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Tiago Fontes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Viana skillfully saved the ball. Arnaldo Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Samuca Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Pereira. When Cleiton Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleiton Teixeira couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Teixeira came free, but Douglas Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
