After 3 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Kain Havertz. In the 4th minute Benjamin Moorlag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Abeijon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ampthill FC's Bernardo Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ate Veninga in the 12th minute of play. Mirko Vervoort made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jack Potts sent off a good shot on target. Bernardo Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ate Veninga in the 18th minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Benjamin Moorlag who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ampthill FC's Bernardo Abeijon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ampthill FC's Bernardo Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ate Veninga in the 28th minute of play. Ampthill FC's Gez Little got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mirko Vervoort made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvino Serre in the 34th minute of play. When Bram Wessel came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Mijdrecht Maffia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bram Wessel couldn't finish the play. Fitz Pickard kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Jack Potts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Mirko Vervoort made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calvin Townsley to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gez Little in the 58th minute of play forced Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Mirko Vervoort to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes, Ate Veninga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mijdrecht Maffia and the Ampthill FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvino Serre. Calvin Townsley's late challenge caught a Mijdrecht Maffia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calvin Townsley helped the player get up and apologised. Mijdrecht Maffia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kurt Holthuis in the 80th minute. If Zack Alderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ate Veninga came free, but Bernardo Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mijdrecht Maffia getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bram Wessel hit a great ball.
